Sport Relief Webpicks

From schools playing Harry Potter-inspired quidditch matches, to mass runs and cycles, Sport Relief (17-23 March) provides plenty of themes for language learning: charities and solidarity, sport, exercise and health.

Schools participate massively in Sport Relief, so there are lots of teaching resources. The ones for primary schools are best adapted for language learners.

This year, there is a great song for pupils to learn and a whole toolkit: lyrics, score, audio and video to download.

This interactive story introduces 11-year-old Precious from Johannesburg, South Africa, who has been going to an educational skateboarding project thanks to Sport Relief. The text is in easy chunks, usable from A1+-A2. There's also a poster to accompany the story.
