Lyon's Quais du Polar festival is celebrating its 21st edition from 4 to 6 April. This year the festival will welcome 160 authors from 17 countries, including several English-speaking ones.

Two bestselling American authors will be "in conversation" on the stage of the Chapelle de la Trinité. Forty years after the publication of the Lloyd Hopkins trilogy, the Black Dahlia and L.A. Confidential author James Ellroy will look back over his career in a conversation entitled The Enchanter. Lisa Gardner, prolific author of psychological thrillers including  FBI Profiler and Detective D.D. Warren series, will participate in Live to Tell.

American authors Attica Locke, Douglas Preston and Duane Swierczynski will participate in a discussion titled Trump Act II. along with Marc Levy.

Attica Locke will also discuss Crime Fiction and Segregation: Investigating Social Divides with South African author Deon Meyer.

British author Paula Hawkins (The Girl on the Train) will join Marcy Levy and another French author Nicolas Beuglet as well as Canadian Linwood Barclay to discuss putting artworks or books at the centre of the plots of their latest novels.
