A free online course from the British Council lets you, and your students, explore Shakespeare's plays and language.

Exploring English: Shakespeare is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) which is free and open to anyone who is interested, though it is aimed at B1-level speakers and above. The introduction video a gives a taster of the content and level.  Lycée pupils in the Cycle Terminale, especially those doing LELE, should be able to get lots out of it.

It is designed to represent about two hours' work a week. It will focus on five plays, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest and Macbeth, and include short quizzes to check comprehension.

The next session of the course is scheduled from Monday 25 March to Monday 29 April 2019. For more information, and to sign up, go to the FutureLearn site.
