If you are in or near Brest in the next couple of weeks, don't miss this free exhibition of 280 works by mysterious street artist Banksy! It's at the Ateliers des Capucins from 10 to 25 June.
The works are from the personal collection of François Bérardino, a French actor who met a graffiti artist in London in 2007. A few weeks later, he realised that the artist, who had casually given him two drawings, was in fact Banksy. From then on, Bérardino collected everything he could find by the artist.
In 2021, he decided to show what he calls his "modeste collection" to the public. After shows in Grigny, Montpellier, Sète, Roubaix, Marseille et Libourne, the collection will be on view in Brest for two weeks. Entrance is free but visitors can make a donation that will go to local charities.
